KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A 22-year-old Battle Creek man is recovering in the hospital after being shot in the leg early Saturday morning.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers responded to a ‘shots fired’ call around 2:00 a.m. in the 3700 block of West Michigan Avenue near Western Michigan University. There they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the leg, who was then treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers located the shooting suspect, a 37-year-old Kalamazoo resident in the area of West Michigan Avenue near 11th Street after being involved in a single-vehicle accident.
Authorities say the suspect was arrested on multiple charges.
