PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Portage police say a man sought for recent thefts at area businesses is in custody and has been arraigned. 38-year-old Alex Bailey was charged Wednesday and authorities believe he may be involved with other thefts as they continue to investigate.
They say he would enter establishments using various tactics to distract employees before stealing property easily accessible to him. Police are currently trying to see if he is connected to similar thefts at other businesses throughout Kalamazoo and St. Joseph Counties.
