CENTREVILLE MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A routine traffic stop on Friday in St Joseph County turned into much more.
Deputies pulled over a car for speeding in Florence Township at around 9:15 pm, and discovered about two pounds of meth and a substantial amount of money.
The driver, a 47-year-old man from Constantine, was taken into custody, and a search warrant was obtained for his residence.
Execution of the warrant turned up an additional amount of meth, paraphernalia to package and sell meth, and several catalytic converters which are suspected to be stolen goods.
A 35-year-old woman at the residence was taken into custody.
Both suspects are awaiting arraignment on numerous charges.
