Allegan County deputies investigating fatal truck-train accident

ALLEGAN MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Allegan County authorities continue to investigate an accident Friday afternoon that killed a Warren man.

Deputies were called to the scene of a truck-train accident on 108^th Ave west of 56^th St in Lee Township at around 4:20 pm.

They discovered that a GMC pickup truck had collided with a CSX train, after the truck failed to yield to the train.

Deputies reported that the driver of the truck, 26-year-old Jacob Johnson, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is not known whether alcohol, drugs, or speed was a factor in the mishap.
