KALAMAZOO MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety’s new traffic violations hotline is proving to be an early success.
Officials say that dozens of reports of violations have been reported on the site, which was activated on July 2nd. It allows citizens to report speeding, stop sign and red light violations, school bus violations, crosswalk violations, and more.
In addition to the violation itself, anyone who posts can also report the time it happened, and if it happened more than once.
DPS officials say that the hotline will allow the department to determine where incidents are occurring, and where department resources would be best deployed.
The website to report violations is www.kalamazoopublicsafety.org/traffic.
