EMMETT TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A controversial billboard in Emmett Township is being investigated by the Michigan Attorney General’s Office.
The billboard states children are 50 times more likely to die from a COVID-19 vaccine than the virus itself.
Many angry township residents have expressed their displeasure about the claims on social media platforms.
A WWMT-TV report on the billboard eventually led to the involvement by the Attorney General Office.
Calhoun County Health Officer Eric Pessell told WWMT-TV the claims on the billboard were 100 percent false.
The billboard is one of two Emmett Township operates thanks to grant funding.
According to the township’s web site, “While Emmett Township has a working and contractual relationship with the company that operates the signs, Emmett Township DOES NOT own the signs or the equipment. All advertising requests are handled by Crossroads Digital Outdoor.”
It has not been totally confirmed who paid for the anti-vaccination sign.
