BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — After being canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, the Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival has returned. Activities got underway at Kellogg Field at the Battle Creek Executive airport on Wednesday.
According to the Battle Creek Enquirer, last year was the only time the event has ever been canceled and only the fourth time since 1980 that balloons did not appear at a Battle Creek event. But for 2021, the festival is back in full form with the balloons, airshows, concerts, vendors, carnival rides, and more.
Field of Flight will continue through Sunday evening, and conclude with a fireworks display scheduled for 10:30 on Independence Day.
