LANSING, MI — Saturday’s severe storms spawned at least five tornadoes across Michigan. The National Weather Service says two were from the same storm in Ionia County near Lake Odessa and were classified as EF-0 and EF-1.
Another tornado was in Mecosta County and an EF-1. A fourth tornado touched down in Clare County, and the fifth and most powerful was an EF-2 near Port Austin in the Thumb area in northern Huron County. No injuries were reported from any of the storms.
A flood warning remains in effect across mid-Michigan until early afternoon today. The Lansing are weather forecast includes a threat of more heavy rain by late this afternoon.
