KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Another weekend of gun violence in Kalamazoo left a man dead Saturday and another man in the hospital on Sunday.
Kalamazoo police officers responded to the 1300 block of Rose Street at 6:30 Saturday morning where they found a 33-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he later died. There are currently no suspects identified.
On Sunday afternoon around 5:00 p.m., Kalamazoo police responded to the 1400 block of Fox Ridge Drive on reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they located a 21-year-old inside a home suffering from a gunshot injury. The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police have not released any suspect information in that shooting either.
