TEKONSHA TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A crash involving a Suburban and a semi just after midnight on Saturday morning seriously injured a man who was a passenger in the Suburban.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department says the crash happened on M-60 near I-69 near Tekonsha.
It was determined following an investigation that the Suburban was heading east on M-60 when the 30-year-old female driver from Saginaw turned in front of the westbound semi tractor trailer that was driven by a 61-year-old man from Southgate.
The collision caused significant damage to the Suburban and resulted in serious leg and hip injury to a 42-year-old male passenger. A year old infant was also in the vehicle but was uninjured. The driver of the semi was also not injured.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Tekonsha Fire Department and Marshall Area Fire Fighters Ambulance Authority.
