LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Former President Donald Trump is ripping state Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey and Senator Ed McBroom, both Republicans, for the Senate Oversight Committee’s report finding no fraud in the 2020 election.
Trump called their investigation a “cover-up” and said it was “a method of getting out of a forensic audit for the examination of the presidential contest.”
The report followed 28 hours of committee testimony and the review of thousands of documents, but according to Ottawa County Clerk Justin Roebuck, none of those who claimed election fraud in Michigan stepped forward to provide evidence of their claims to the committee.
Trump added that Shirkey and McBroom need to do the right thing or be voted out of office.
