SPRINGFIELD, MI (WNWN) – A suspect was arrested and lodged at the Calhoun County Jail on Tuesday afternoon following a stabbing incident outside of Custer Party Store in Springfield.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department says they were dispatched at about 3:45 p.m.
During the investigation it was discovered that two men got into an altercation inside the store.
During the altercation, one of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed the other man at least six times in the the back area.
The stabbing victim was taken to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo for his injuries.
No names have been released.
