LANSING, MI — Severe overnight storms in southern Michigan left thousands without power. Especially hard hit were the Kalamazoo and Hillsdale areas. Utility crews are working on the repairs.
Heavy soaking rain covered most of mid-Michigan overnight but there are no reports of damage from severe weather. Areas south of I-94 received the heaviest rain totals.
There is a slight chance of scattered showers across parts of mid-Michigan through this morning. Cooling temperatures will result in highs Tuesday only in the upper 60s.
