BATH TOWNSHIP, MI — Mid-Michigan Health Department beach monitoring has flagged a lake in Clinton County for high E. Coli levels.
Testing began last week and E. Coli levels at Park Lake tested high enough to trigger a water quality advisory, according to the Mid-Michigan Health Department.
The limit for E. Coli levels in Michigan is 300 per 100 millileters. It’s 450 at Park Lake, according to health officials. There have been no reports of anyone sickened by swimming in the waters of Park Lake, which is located in Bath Township.
Health officials say the presence of E. Coli can be an indicator of fecal contamination.
