*** UPDATE Shortly after 10:00 a.m. this morning police took a second suspect into custody following an early morning police chase in Grand Ledge. All suspects have now been accounted for.
GRAND LEDGE, MI — Tense moments in Grand Ledge this morning. According to a notification from GLAlerts, police are looking for suspects they believe are armed and dangerous and on the loose following a police chase earlier this morning. The alert was sent out shortly after 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Grand Ledge residents are being asked to lock their doors and stay inside their homes, according to the alert. The proximity of the manhunt is centered around Greenwood and Front Street.
Michigan State Police are in charge of the scene and troopers are looking for suspects in the Grand Ledge area after they crashed a truck into a home and ran away, according to our media partner WLNS Six News in Lansing.
All Grand Ledge schools with the exception of Hayes will have a two-hour delay due to the ongoing situation. High School students who were on the bus were transported to Hayes.
