PORTER TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Cass County authorities say alcohol was likely a factor in a crash involving a car and motorcycle Thursday night.
At around 10:30, Sheriff’s deputies responded to the intersection at U.S. 12 and Mason St. in Porter Township. 58-year-old Scott Hunt of Union was attempting to turn into a private driveway when he struck a motorcycle traveling westbound on U.S. 12.
The motorcyclist, 33-year-old Nathanael Haines of Indiana suffered undisclosed injuries and was taken to a hospital in Elkhart. His current condition is not reported. Hunt was not injured in the crash.
At this time, no charges have been filed related to the crash as officials continue their investigation.
