CONVIS TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN) – A Jackson woman lost her life early Friday morning in a Convis Township single vehicle fatal crash.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened at 3:35 a.m. in the 17000 block of V Drive North.
When deputies arrived they found the 23-year-old driver from Jackson with serious injuries.
He was transported to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing for treatment and is in stable condition.
The passenger, a 19 year old Jackson woman, was unresponsive and aide was rendered.
The Sheriff’s Department says she succumbed to her injuries on scene.
Deputies say alcohol is a suspected factor and this incident is still under investigation by the Calhoun County Accident Investigation Team.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Bellevue Fire Department and the Marshall Area Firefighters Ambulance Authority.
