WMU athletics to share in $550 million gift to the university

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Western Michigan University athletics program will receive part of a $550 million gift to the university.

The donation, announced Tuesday, is the largest ever given to a public institution in the United States.

$50 million of gift will be used to help student athletes with their studies, enhance recruiting and connect youth with Western Michigan.
