Orange barrel alert on U.S. 127 in Lansing area

LANSING, MI — MDOT begins bridge work on U.S. 127 this week that will lead to ramp closures at the I-96 interchange.

The ramp from northbound U.S. 127 to westbound I-96 is closed beginning today as is the ramp from eastbound I-96 to northbound U.S. 127.

Orange barrels will be up to reduce traffic to one lane on northbound U.S. 127 at the interchange. MDOT recommends following the posted detours to avoid lengthy delays.

The work is expected to be finished by 5:00 p.m. this Thursday, according to MDOT.
