KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety police have ruled out a white Chevy Camaro as a suspect vehicle in the shooting of a 14-year-old.
Officers initially believed the car was involved in Friday’s shooting in the 700 block of Florence Street where the 14-year-old girl was hit by a stray bullet while sitting on a porch holding a baby.
In a news release on Saturday, authorities say they found the Camaro with help from the community.
So far, no arrests have been made, and police are asking anyone with information to contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at (269) 488-8911 or Silent Observer at (269) 343-2100.
