BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN) – Battle Creek city officials say Logan Street is closed between East Burnham Street and Mineral Avenue for an emergency sewer repair.
Crews will have to repair the mainline sewer in this area and are expected to finish by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
Local traffic only can access this section of Logan. No through-traffic or emergency vehicles can get through.
Meanwhile, city contractors are beginning a preventative maintenance project on the Emmett Street Bridge over the railroad between Maxwell Street and Raymond Road North.
A traffic shift will be needed to close the eastbound lanes allowing for one lane of traffic in both directions. The work is scheduled to take place throughout the summer. Emergency vehicles, pedestrians and local traffic will have access throughout the project.
This bridge project is one of three scheduled this summer. Everyone’s patience would be appreciated.
