WINDSOR, ON (WKZO AM/FM) — With Michigan residents slowing down on getting vaccinated for COVID-19, Canada is asking for some of the state’s supply.
Windsor Regional Hospital officials say their demand is higher than their supply and notes that just a mile away across the border, it’s the exact opposite. Canadian health officials are proposing using the Ambassador Bridge as a vaccine center and say they need Michigan politicians to make it happen.
COVID-19 vaccines are administered by the federal government, however, and the White House has not made any promises on giving COVID-19 shots to Canada at this time.
