KALAMAZOO MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan State Police are investigating a shooting incident Friday morning in Kalamazoo that involved a Public Safety officer.
A spokesperson for KDPS says that the officer involved ordered a 47-year-old man to drop the weapon he was brandishing, and the man ignored the warning.
The officer fired and wounded the man, who is in stable condition at an area hospital.
The incident occurred Friday morning in the Florence/Woodbury area on Kalamazoo’s Northside.
