FLORENCE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Authorities in St. Joseph County are investigating a mail tampering case reported Tuesday.
Deputies, along with Michigan State Police Troopers, responded to an area of Mintdale Rd. in Florence Township after some mail was located on the roadway. It appeared that the mail was taken from boxes at addresses in Florence, Sherman, and White Pigeon Townships. Many of the envelopes had been opened and the contents removed. The recovered mail was turned over to the White Pigeon Post Office.
Anyone with information or who may have seen suspicious activity in those areas is asked to contact the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office or Michigan State Police. Anyone who may see suspicious activity like this going forward is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
