HAZELTON, PA (WKZO AM/FM) — Investigators continue to look at new information into the 2005 disappearance of Ashley Parlier of Battle Creek. They believe the person-of-interest in the case could be connected to the murders of several other victims who haven’t been identified yet.
Over the weekend, Calhoun County detectives reported 43-year-old Harold Haulman III was likely tied to the cold case. Detective Dave Homminga says he’s already a suspect in two Pennsylvania murder cases also involving missing persons. District Attorneys there say he meets the definition of a serial killer.
“We’ve been working with the Michigan State Police Missing Persons Task Force in an attempt to identify any other victims that may be associated with a similar M.O.”
Haulman was arrested in Hazelton, Pennsylvania on Friday. He reportedly lived in the Battle Creek area from 2002 to 2009. Parlier was last seen in June 2005 and it is believed that she and Haulman had some kind of relationship during his time in southwest Michigan.
Calhoun County investigators are looking to talk to anyone who knows more about Ashley’s relationship with Haulman during that time.
