KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Several people were arrested in Kalamazoo after a collection of handguns were discovered during a series of traffic stops.
The first one happened at around 11:00 Sunday evening after someone was reported to be concealing a gun at a local business. Responding officers made a traffic stop and found three firearms inside the vehicle. Police say they took three Detroit residents into custody on various weapons charges.
A short time later, another traffic stop led to the discovery of a handgun and the arrest of another resident from Detroit. The two incidents are believed to be connected.
A third traffic stop at around 3:30 this morning led to the arrest of a Kalamazoo resident on weapons charges, but it’s uncertain if that case was connected to the other two.
