NASHVILLE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A first of its kind event kicks off in Barry County today and will run through Mother’s Day weekend.
The very first Nashville Michigan Hot Air Balloon Festival will include a dozen pilots from southwest Michigan as well as a few from other areas of the state and Indiana. The festival will be held just north of the village of Nashville on N. Main St..
Along with balloon flights, there will be balloon glows, a car show, several vendors, markets, and kid’s activities. The grounds open today at 9:00 a.m. and at 5:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Balloon flights are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday and on Saturday and Sunday at 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. both days weather permitting.
