BAD AXE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Bond has been revoked for a Michigan man from the Thumb-area, said to be a self-proclaimed leader of a White Supremacist group with violent tendencies.
Michigan Attorney General Dan Nessel says 25-year-old Justen Watkins of Bad Axe in Huron County is one of two men charged last year related to activity in a group called “The Base”. It was determined that Watkins had violated bond by having contact with members of the group and for committing additional crimes in April related to breaking and entering.
Founded in 2018, The Base is a White supremacy organization that promotes Nazi idealogy and openly advocates for violence and criminal acts against the U.S., and claim to be training to violently overthrow the U.S. Government. Watkens, who claims to be the leader, reportedly led tactical and firearms training for the group before his arrest.
