MILTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a fatal crash that occurred Monday in Milton Township.
Around 11:21 a.m., deputies were called to investigate the crash, which involved two vehicles. The crash occurred on US-12, west of Beebe Road in Milton Township.
The investigation revealed that the two vehicles collided head-on.
Police say a 48-year-old Elkhart resident, Prinscella Outlaw, was heading eastbound, and 34-year-old Hillsdale resident Nicholas Reader was heading westbound.
Reader suffered minor injuries, while Outlaw succumbed to injuries at the scene.
This case remains under investigation. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in this crash, and seat belts were worn by both drivers.
Assisting agencies on scene were Edwardsburg Fire, SMCAS EMS, Edwardsburg Police Department and Michigan State Police.
