KALAMAZOO MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A Black Lives Matter protest in downtown Kalamazoo Friday attracted approximately 100 people.
The event, which was peaceful, took place on the Kalamazoo Mall and nearby streets.
Participants said that they were not protesting for one particular victim of police violence, but for all the Black men and women who have been killed by police.
City Manager Jim Ritsema and Public Safety Chief Vernon Coakley also were in attendance at the event.
