KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — One person was injured among four who were rescued from a house fire in Kalamazoo Tuesday evening.
Crews responded to the residence in the 400 block of Walnut Street at around 10:00 p.m.. A fire had originated on the porch and when officers arrived, they moved swiftly to evacuate the residents. Firefighters began working to put out the flames, and they were able to do it quickly.
An 80-year-old female resident was taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation and is said to be in stable condition.
The cause is still being determined.
