PRAIRIEVILLE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Barry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Prairieville Township.
Police say it occurred on Lockshore Road near Milo Road just after 1 p.m.
The investigation showed a pickup truck was traveling northbound on Lockshore Road when it ran off the roadway to the left and collided into a tree.
The 76-year-old male driver was air lifted to an area hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries. The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle.
The crash is still under investigation. Alcohol, drugs and speed do not appear to be factors.
