INDIANAPOLIS, IN (WKZO AM/FM) – UCLA’s Cinderella story remains unfinished. Johnny Juzang scored 28 points as 11th-seeded UCLA upset top-seeded Michigan 51-49 in the Elite Eight in Indianapolis. Tyger Campbell was the only other Bruin in double-figures with 11 points.
UCLA goes from the First Four to its first Final Four appearance since 2008.
Hunter Dickinson led the Wolverines with 11 points. Franz Wagner shot just 1-for-10 in defeat. UM ends the season with a record of 23-5, while UCLA advances to the Final Four to take on overall one-seed Gonzaga on Saturday.
Top-seed Gonzaga knocked off USC 85-66. The Bulldogs and Bruins will face each other for a spot in the National Championship Game on Saturday, while Baylor and Houston will battle in the other national semifinal.
