KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — An apartment fire affected several units in Kalamazoo Thursday evening and led to some evacuations.
Fire officials say the blaze was contained before it spread to other parts of the building. Fire crews were called at around 8:45 p.m. to Candlewyck Apartments. When they arrived, heavy smoke was seen coming from the building. The fire was brought under control in about 90 minutes.
No injuries were reported and the cause remains under investigation. The extent of damage and the exact number of units affected has not been reported.
