SAUGATUCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department is reporting that skeletal human remains have been discovered in Saugatuck Township.
Officials say hunters had discovered the remains on Sunday while hunting near 63rd Street and 134th Avenue in Saugatuck Township.
On Monday, the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department, assisted by the Western Michigan School of Medicine’s Forensic Anthropology Unit, determined that they are the remains of an unknown human subject.
At this time, the remains have not been identified, and a cause of death has not been determined.
