KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo-area ski resort will finish the season soon with record numbers, despite a late start due to the pandemic. And as skiing season ends, local golf courses are getting their spring season started, thanks to warm weather expected this week.
Bittersweet Ski Resort General Manager Victor Gayheart told WWMT says the resort’s performance far exceeded expectations even though they opened a month later than usual in October of 2020.
Meanwhile, golf season in the area kicks-off today as spring-like temperatures in the 60s are in the forecast this week.
“It’s been a long winter, and we know that people are excited to be on the course again, and we’ll be ready for them,” – Ann Marie Roschek, Manager and Operator for Grand Prairie Golf Course in Kalamazoo
Grand Prairie Golf Course in Kalamazoo is among several courses that plan to open today and remain open as long as the weather cooperates.
