LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – At a press conference Tuesday, Governor Whitmer announced that the state Department of Health/Human Services has made major changes in the guidelines regarding restaurant capacity and nursing home/long term care facility visitation.
Restaurants can now seat up to 50% of capacity, with a maximum number of 100.
Nursing homes and long-term care facilities can allow visitation once again, with visitors required to have a negative COVID-19 test.
Indoor entertainment venues can have up to 50% capacity, with a maximum of 300 people.
Exercise facilities may have up to 30% capacity, with mask and social distancing guidelines in place.
Indoor sports venues under 10,000 seats can allow up to 375 people, while those venues over 10,000 are permitted to have 750.
Indoor residential gatherings may have up to 15 people from three households, while outdoor gatherings may have up to 50 people.
Outdoor entertainment and recreational locations may now allow up to 1000 people.
The Governor also called on state lawmakers to pass the pandemic relief package, stating that federal money provided to the state is available for use once the package is approved.
