KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) is reporting one structure fire that took place Tuesday.
Around 2:55 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Park Place, where they saw flames and heavy smoke coming from the second floor of the residence.
KDPS officers were able to bring the fire under control within 10 minutes and are currently still on scene. The structure was occupied, but the residents were able to self-evacuate.
No injuries occurred during this incident.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s office.
