BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A man who was struck by a vehicle on Dickman Road in the Fort Custer Industrial Park last Thursday morning has died from his injuries.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that according to Battle Creek police, 63-year-old Raymond Ickes of Battle Creek died Friday at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
Ickes was struck at 6:47 a.m. Thursday morning by a 32-year-old driver who was trying to make a left turn.
The driver told police he thought he hit a pothole. He drove back to the accident scene after he saw the damage to his vehicle when he got to work.
The man was driving on a suspended license according to police and they plan to seek charges.
