JACKSON, MI — A Jackson man has plans to take care of his family after willing a $1 million in Powerball.
Anthony Treciak, 54, matched five numbers in the January 13, 2021, drawing. He purchased the winner at the Kroger on West Argyle Street in Jackson.
“I don’t play Powerball often, but decided to purchase a ticket since the jackpot was so high,” Treciak said. “I was checking my ticket the afternoon after the drawing and couldn’t believe it when I saw I had matched five numbers. It was a complete chock.”
Treciak visited lottery headquarters in Lansing this week to claim his prize. The man plans to purchase a new car and help take care of his family with his new winnings.
