LANSING, MI — A teacher in St. Johns known for building and maintaining connections with students during these challenging times is being honored with an Excellence in Education award from the Michigan Lottery.
Josh Gove is an elementary art teacher for St. John’s Public Schools and will receive a $1,500 cash prize and $500 grant for his classroom. His weekly prize makes him eligible for the Educator of the Year Award.
“I love being able to share my passions and share the world with my students,” Gove said in press release.
Gove earned a bachelor’s degrees from Alma College and Central Michigan University. He is working on his master’s degree, according to a press release.
