Portage opens marijuana applications March 1st

PORTAGE MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The City of Portage has announced that it will begin accepting applications for marijuana businesses beginning March 1^st.

Applicants need to be prequalified from the Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency and retailers need an existing medical marijuana business permit with Portage before applying.

Businesses included in the application process are growers, processors, safety compliance, provisioning centers, secure transporters, microbusinesses, and retailers.
