HICKORY CORNERS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — An all new event aimed at children called Princesses & Carriages will take place in March at the Gilmore Car Museum.
The museum says the event will combine an interaction for kids with actors playing storybook princesses and an introduction to the museum’s indoor collection of more than 400 classic vehicles.
Princesses & Carriages will provide aspiring young princesses, princes, and their parents or grandparents, the opportunity for memorable photo ops with up to FOURTEEN of their favorite storybook princesses and princes beside carriages, royal coaches, limousines, and fairy tale backdrops. The event will also include opportunities for a red carpet experience, coloring activity, scavenger hunt, courtly tea, and fancy sweet treats.
“This new event at the Gilmore will be a unique opportunity to engage and delight children, yet also educate and introduce them to automotive history,” said Josh Russell, Executive Director of the Gilmore Car Museum.
Socially-distanced photos with the featured princesses will be taken in front of special luxury vehicles from the Gilmore collections, including an 1895 Cunningham Victoria Carriage, a 1959 Cadillac limousine, and a 1939 Royal Canadian Tour Car by LeBaron, which was custom built for King George VI and Queen Elizabeth of England for their royal visit to the United States and Canada.
Princesses & Carriages activities will run from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 6. Tickets are on sale now and the event is capacity-limited.
