BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A driver who fled from police, and eventually crashed through a business in Battle Creek over the weekend, was said to be heavily intoxicated when they were arrested, according to authorities.
Police attempted to stop the 20-year-old woman at around 2:45 early Saturday morning, but she sped off from authorities. Eventually, the vehicle crashed into the side of Speeds Koffee Shop in the 1400 block of West Michigan Avenue. A wall at the business was damaged, but their were no injuries.
The woman was arrested and authorities say her blood alcohol level was at 0.17 at the time she was taken into custody. Her name has not been released.
