DETROIT, MI – Former Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife Kelly are pledging one-million-dollars to the city of Detroit for a new education center. The Kelly and Matthew Stafford and Friends Education Center will be built on the grounds of SAY Detroit’s Play Center and will include learning labs, vocational training space, six classrooms and an auditorium. The family says the center will continue their involvement in the city after Stafford was traded to Los Angeles. The Staffords are asking friends and family to donate to reach their two-million-dollar goal.
