EAST LANSING, MI — Court records indicate MSU football player Jayden Reed, 20, was arraigned Wednesday on one misdemeanor charge of operating under the influence stemming from a July 18 incident.
Reed, who was charged just last month, pleaded not guilty at his arraignment.
An MSU spokesperson on Wednesday told several media outlets: “Michigan State Athletics was aware of the situation involving Jayden Reed last July and the matter was addressed internally by the football program prior to the start of the 2020 season.”
Reed started in all seven of MSU’s games this season. The Western Michigan University transfer will be a redshirt junior this fall at MSU.
