KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A person who was driving without headlights and a license plate in Kalamazoo early this morning was arrested after a weapon and drugs were discovered in the vehicle.
Kalamazoo police stopped the vehicle near the intersection of E. Frank St. and Scudder Ct. A second officer arrived and noticed a small handgun in plain view inside the vehicle. They learned the driver was a known felon who was out on parole. A search also revealed suspected meth.
The 45-year-old Kalamazoo resident was arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of methamphetamine and was lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail.
