CLIMAX, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A dog that was inside a vehicle when it was stolen in Indiana back in January was located in Kalamazoo County Wednesday morning.
On Friday, January 29th, thieves stole 77-year-old Jerry Wallace’s truck with his dog inside at a gas station in Middlebury. The man’s family told WNDU-TV that the truck was found in Climax on Wednesday.
The truck and dog were reportedly found abandoned on a back road. A note inside the vehicle read, “Do not tell, we are coming back to get it.”, apparently referring to the dog. No suspect has been located and no other information on the case is available at this time. Indiana investigators are reviewing surveillance images from the gas station there to try to identify the suspect.
The dog has been returned to Jerry Wallace along with his vehicle.
