SOUTH BEND, IN (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo woman was arrested in Indiana following a lengthy, high speed chase where spike sticks were used to try to stop the vehicle.
Monday evening, 29-year-old Jaci Miller, was allegedly driving recklessly before an off-duty Trooper spotted her truck and tried to stop her on U.S. 31, a few miles south of South Bend in Marshall County, Indiana. After taking off at high speeds, other law enforcement agencies joined the chase in which Miller is accused of numerous driving violations over several miles.
A few times, she slowed down to make it look she was going to give up, but then would speed off again. She eventually stopped and was arrested, but not before continuing to drive on two flat tires after deflation devices were used.
Miller was found to not have a valid driver’s license as well as an expired license plate. She was taken to an Indiana jail on several charges of resisting law enforcement and reckless driving.
