BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek city officials announced Tuesday that a contractor for Consumers Energy hit an underground electrical line while doing work today on Hamblin Avenue.
Due to this incident, Hamblin Avenue, between McCamly Avenue and Capital Avenue S.W., will be closed from now until early Wednesday morning. The work will take place directly in front of Full Blast.
Officials say its possible that electrical service will be temporarily shut off to Full Blast in order to keep the crews safe. If necessary, Full Blast staff will be notified in advance so they are able to evacuate the building.
Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes while this work is underway.
